Davenport Kitchen
We know a project is special when we wish it was our own home! This is exactly how we felt as we finished up the Davenport Street kitchen.
This old Portland home maintains classic features with modern touches to elevate the space. After several projects throughout the house, the kitchen was the essential piece to tying this family home together. The kitchen renovation is charming and elevated, so fall in love with this kitchen just as much as we did through the pictures below!
The range wall is one of two focal points in this kitchen. We customized the space and added personality through a hand plastered hood and capping the Carrara marble slab backsplash with a functional shelf, also produced out of marble.
Details such as the panel ready fridge blend seamlessly with the custom beaded cabinets flanking the refrigerator. Lighting throughout and high-end brass hardware elevate and brighten the space. In this 100 year old kitchen, we wanted to maintain character by using unlacquered brass finishes since it is a live metal and ages over time.
We added antique brass picture lights for an unconventional pop over the windows. The lights match the brass throughout the kitchen, tying this heightened element to the kitchen hardware.
