LORRAINE DRIVE - BEFORE & AFTER

Our project on Lorraine Drive was the definition of a complete remodel… in just a few short months it became unrecognizable!

We wanted to share our process and give a behind the scenes look of how our plans came to life. After several consultations and one-on-one work with the client, the final installation became one of our favorite projects to date! Check out the full transformation of the living room and kitchen below.

The base of this kitchen was dark, overpowered with wood, and outdated. We chose to change the appliance layout by installing a gas range on the back wall and relocating the microwave to the island. Additionally, a new panel-ready fridge and custom cabinets gave this kitchen a much-needed and timeless refresh.

When we were working up renderings, a full wrap of soapstone countertops made the kitchen feel a bit heavy. We kept the soapstone on the island and swapped for a bolder quartz on the perimeter and the backdrop. Additionally, the renderings help us validate cabinet layouts and clearly deliver our vision to the client.

The client requested quartz in the kitchen, which ended up being the perfect balance to compliment the soapstone island. Quartz ensures durability and was a modern way to brighten up the kitchen as a whole. Though installations aren’t all glitz and glamour, the pictures below, represent key milestones and progress.

On photoshoot day, we couldn’t have been happier! From the custom range, to the off white shaker cabinets, tied together by brass hardware, the client was just as thrilled as we were. During our final styling session, we like to make the space feel homey and lived in by incorporating details such as freshly baked goods or an open cookbook. These details allow clients to embrace their new space in a beautiful and curated way!

The living room needed to be cohesive with the kitchen, while still being comfortable and functional for a young family. The built in cabinets were an added detail that provided more storage and took up less floor space in the room.

The video below shows the bones of the living room after cabinet construction had finished. This is our favorite time in a project because we have a blank canvas to style!

The living room came together as a relaxing, seamless space that compliments the adjacent kitchen. With hints of green from the pillow to the plants, the space came to life in an elevated yet cozy way. A key detail that we recommend to most clients is the Samsung Frame Smart TV, because, well its nicer to look at a piece of art rather than a tv screen!

The project concluded in a toast with our clients, which is the best way to end a large home remodel!
